ParticipantTerrific…directory edits work as originally expected. Email is sent to user and admin that a change requires moderation.
I assume you know that after submitting and edit, the screen does not return to the edit mode (as in the prior release) and the directory entry is not displayed until approved. Ok by me….but wanted you to know.
Also, “remove” now works.
FYI…it sure would be good to have the confirmation email sent to the user after moderated submissions and edits are complete. This would close the loop on the process.
Thanks again…Rick

re: I assume you know that after submitting and edit, the screen does not return to the edit mode
After an edit is made the page should refresh and still be available to edit. I suggest doing a test using Chrome with the Console open (hit F12 and click the Console tab). Look for errors, they’ll be reported there. My guess is that you need to flush the cache and force refresh your browser so the updated script that Forms enqueues is used by your browser.re: directory entry is not displayed until approved.
Correct, any entries in the mod queue will not be displayed. I do not plan on changing that. What I do plan on tweaking is if the user is logged in they will still be presented with the view my entry and edit my entry links so they can continue to manage their entry while in the mod queue. I believe that will nicely round out the functionality.re: after moderated submissions and edits are complete.
I’ve been working on a notifications extension for Connections to fulfill this need and several other events that could be sent. Unfortunately this will have a little overlap with Form, but the idea would to use the notification extension rather than those built into Form.02/03/2015 at 10:02 pm #318125Rick Wielopolski
ParticipantSorry Steve…my experience on the directory editing is the same as the original version….the message is shown and the screen stays there. The modified version you deployed that brings you back to the editing screen (with a different meesage) has gone away with the latest fix to resolve the “no email” and “remove” issues. Web cache and browser data were cleared and no errors were detected.

This is how it is supposed to work… do a test submission:
http://connections-pro.com/demo/extension/form/After you click submit, you’ll get a message about processing and then a message that the submission is under review.
When your test user is logged in and make changes and click submit they should get a processing message followed by “Entry updated. The page will automatically refresh, please wait…” at which point the page should refresh back to the edit screen with a message above it that says “Your entry submission is currently under review, however, you can continue to make edits to your entry submission while your submission is under review.“. At which specific step does it stop?
… oh … wait…
Since I removed the update check, so you get the email you want, you never actually get to the section of code that says do a refresh. So I’m guessing it stop with this message; “We will review and approve your submission soon.“, yes?
Ok, I worked on this more and I merged in the change for email notices that I actually really like! It is a little less complex and has removed quite a bit of code duplication.
I tested each scenario I could think of an I always receive the expected notice as well as landing on the correct screen. If you want, I’ll be more than happy to install the beta for you.

ParticipantYes, Steve, that is where it stops. I am on the road and will give you admin access again to install the code as soon as possible. Many thanks.

ParticipantMy apologies…I set it up while on the road from my mobile and missed a check box. Just arrived home…You are now an admin. Let me know when this is complete. I’m sure we’ll get done in time.
Thanks Steve!
