GuestHi, I have installed your plugin on my website, and I have a problem with a load time. On the home page appear all records that I included in connetions, but, for this reaseon, the load time is very slowly (exist 625 records)
Do you have some alternatives to reduce the main list. The idea is showing short list or in a different pages?
Many thanks!

Yes, loading hundreds of entries on a single page will indeed load more slowing. This is not a bug or limitation in Connections. If you were to attempt to load hundreds of WordPress posts on a single page it probably would not load at all which is way there limit posts to 5 per page by default. What you need with your large directory is a premium template, all of which support paginating the directory, 20 per page. All premium templates support pagination but some have this disabled by default since their focus on small eam directories. It you like one of those, it is very simple to enable pagination.
Hope that answers your question!

I think taht I need buy the plugin. If I decide to buy a plugin, will I need extra configuration changing free version to premium? Will I lose information with the change?
Thanks!

I suggest the cMap template. It is currently our easiest to use and most customizable template which includes the features you need.
You can switch to this template quite easily and nothing will be lost. In fact you leave everything as is. You would install cMap then activate it on the Connections : Templates admin page.
Hope that helps!

The cMap template is not a theme so if you are installing as a theme you will receive errors. Here’s the link to how to install a template.

ParticipantHi Steven,
Sorry, I didn´t install like theme but as plugin, I kept explaining the previous link. In the last post, I confused the word “theme”, sorry.
What can we do?
Kind regards! -
