Okay, sorry for all the updates, but I increased the memory allocation. The page is working but it is slow.

The issue that you are loading hundred(s) of entries on the page. This will cause memory and page loading issues. This is not a bug or limitation with Connections. The very same would happen if you attempted to load hundred of WP posts on a single page (you’d likely not show as many post as Connections can show entries).
You need to use pagination. You have a template which supports it and has it on by default. I highly recommend re-enabling the option.

I’m marking this resolved. The latest 8.6.1 update seems to resolve the two issues that were encountered with this update. Wp.org seems to sending the correct version now and the correct version is available for download on the wp.org page for Connections. So it seems they worked out their update issues as well.
