GuestWe have Connections 0.7.3.6. This past week several things stopped working: can not search by name, can not forward past page one of directory, can not forward to end. This occurred before and after latest update.

Thanks.

Keymaster@ Katie Howard
I see there are several errors on your site unrelated to Connections, perhaps one of those are the source problem. Lets try one thing first. I do see you are using an older version of cMap, can you please try upgrading to the latest version? It can be downloaded from your Purchase History page. To reset your password click the forgot password link and use the email address that you used to make the purchase.

ParticipantI’m having similar issues on http://orland-chamber.com/directory/ , running the latest version of Connections and cMap. Search has no results for anything, even if I’m looking at the entry I’m searching for, on the page. I can page through the directory, but the alpha index links only work on page 1; after that, they come up but don’t work. What’s going on?

The issue seems to be that category ID 5 is the current active category which seems to be empty and blank. This is why you are not getting any results. Can you go to the Connections : Category admin page and take a look at category ID 5? What is its name supposed to be? Also, what is the exact shortcode you’re using on the page?

ParticipantMy search is not working. When I try to search, I get the following message:
Welcome to WordPress. This is your first post. Edit or delete it, then start blogging!
My url is: http://www.bethelisland-chamber.com

KeymasterYour permalinks are set to the “Default” setting. You must have it set to something other than “Default”. I recommend “Post name”.

ParticipantMy search does not return anything, just a “Hello world, welcome to WordPress” page.

KeymasterCurrently you can not use Connections on the page site as the sites “front page”. WordPress redirects all queries to the blog page.
If you move the directory home page to any page other than the front page, it’ll work fine.
Hope that helps.

GuestThanks for getting back to me. I have moved the search function to:
http://69.89.31.163/~staybans/consultantdirectory/cd/
but when i search ‘David’ (which should return someone), nothing happens, the page is as it was before. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

GuestThanks for your reply. I have moved the search to http://69.89.31.163/~staybans/consultantdirectory/cd/ and when i search ‘david’ (which should return something) the page stays the same and no results are provided.
Any ideas?
THanks in advance.
