I can send it but I am not sure it would work for you. Your Pro Pack license has expired long ago and so the addons are very old and out of date. Actually, so is the base Connections plugin. Even WordPress is years out of date.
Basing these statements based on this site, http://sylvierifenburgh.com/hear/Directory/, from this post from you many years ago: https://connections-pro.com/support/topic/map-not-displaying-in-cmap/
If this is actually for a different site with a different Pro Pack license which is current and up to date, let me know. I just want to make sure you can use it before I send it to save you time and trouble.

Great to see WP and Connections has been updated. You should still update cMap. You can do this by deactivating it on the Plugins admin page and then delete it.
I just resent you sales confirmation email. It will have your download link and license key for cMap. Download the zip file and then install it as you would any other plugin and then activate it.
Here’s the link on how to install a template if you would like more details before proceeding:
https://connections-pro.com/documentation/install/templates/
Here’s how to activate the cMap license key:
- Navigate to the Connections Settings admin page.
- Click the Licenses tab (this will only show after you have activated cMap as a plugin).
- Copy/paste your license key in the cMap license field.
- Click the Activate button.
I’ll send you the multiple category search addon with instructions following this. Let me know if you do not receive it.

ParticipantHello Steven,
I am having a hard time embedding the shortcode for the Multi Category Search onto my page.
First, unlike the embedded connection plugin shortcode [connections] the Multi Category Search short code is visible on my site. Please see: http://www.justhearmeout.org
Second, I tried to change the category IDs (x,y,z) from my directory.
Audiologists – ID 19
Clinics – ID 23
Disability Services – ID 32
Foundation – ID 27
Health Services – ID 25
Hearing Aids & Equipment – ID 18
Hearing Aids-Manufacturers – ID 31
Hearing Impaired Relay Service – ID 28
Hearing Impaired Services & Facilities – ID 30
Physical Therapists – ID 22
Physicians & Surgeons – ID 21
Schools – ID 29
Speech & Hearing Therapy – ID 26
Translators & Interpreters – ID 20
Uncategorized – ID 1
Would the new shortcode look like this?
[cn_multi_category_search category=”19, 23, 32, 27, 25, 18, 31, 28, 30, 22, 21, 29, 26, 20, 1|Default Text in Dropdown|Search Results: %s,19, 23, 32, 27, 25, 18, 31, 28, 30, 22, 21, 29, 26, 20, 1|Default Text in Dropdown|Search Results: %s,19, 23, 32, 27, 25, 18, 31, 28, 30, 22, 21, 29, 26, 20, 1|Default Text in Dropdown|Search Results String | enable_zipcode=true or false | radius_options”]
As you can see above, I’d like to add the Radius Search by Zip Code to the shortcode and radius_options.
Why is the shortcake visible on the site?
Can you please help me:
1- Get the short code written correctly
2- Ensure that the plugin functionality work on the page and that it is not visible.
Thank you for all your help!
Sylvie

The shortcode needs to follow the example supplied in the instructions:
[cn_multi_category_search category="x||Default Text in Dropdown|Search Results: %s,y||Default Text in Dropdown|Search Results: %s,z||Default Text in Dropdown|Search Results String"]
You also need multiple parent category tree structure setup on the Connections Categories admin page. Looking at your directory page, you have a simple small list of categories. So, I am unsure of exactly what you are trying to accomplish with adding multiple category search options.
Sample Category Tree with Sample Shortcode
- Audiologists – ID 19
- Child Category 1
- Child Category 2
- Child Category 3
- Clinics – ID 23
- Child Category 1
- Child Category 2
- Child Category 3
- Disability Services – ID 32
- Child Category 1
- Child Category 2
- Child Category 3
[cn_multi_category_search category=”19||Search for Audiologists|Search Results: %s,23||Search for Clinics|Search Results: %s,32||Search for Disability Services|Search Results String” enable_zipcode=true]
This will result in three dropdowns where the children categories of the respective parent categories are listed as options with a zip code radius search field.
In regards, to just the shortcode text displaying, if you copy/pasted from the email, the underlying HTML within the email was also copy/pasted likely breaking WordPress’s ability to properly parse the shortcode.
To correct this, delete the entire shortcode, switch the editor to the Text tab and then manually type it in and be careful not to misspell anything.
After you have the shortcode corrected and it display, remember to disable the category filter and keyword search in the cMap template so they do not conflict/confuse the user.
Hope this helps!

ParticipantGood afternoon Steven,
We would like to have the radius and keyword search functionality only. We will not include categories. The keyword functionality works great but we are having trouble with the radius search functionality.
Is the shortcode:
[cn_multi_category_search=|Search Results String” enable_zipcode=true]
We enter a zip code in Colorado (all of our directory entries are in CO right now), pick a radius (i.e 5 miles) hit search and the entire directory appears not the radius per the request.
We have a Google Maps Geocoding API key setup.
We have both a server key and a browser key in Connections > Settings > Advanced.
We also have the default country and state set on the setting admin page.
Connections > Settings > General > Base country and region (United States & Colorado).
The second issue we are having is the upload of additional directory entries from the state of Georgia.
It gave us this error message:
Connections: CVS Import
Warning: require_once(/home2/hmo13/public_html/wp-content/plugins/connections//includes/php_class_upload/class.upload.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home2/hmo13/public_html/wp-content/plugins/connections-csv/submenu/csv.php on line 43Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home2/hmo13/public_html/wp-content/plugins/connections//includes/php_class_upload/class.upload.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/php54/lib/php’) in /home2/hmo13/public_html/wp-content/plugins/connections-csv/submenu/csv.php on line 43
Can you help us out with the upload? What do we need to do to fix this problem? I have attached our CVS file for your review.
Thanks again for all of your help!

RE: We enter a zip code in Colorado (all of our directory entries are in CO right now), pick a radius (i.e 5 miles) hit search and the entire directory appears not the radius per the request.
Open the page in Chrome, click Show Map for any entry, hit the F12 key and then click the Console tab in the browser tools. You’ll find this message from Google:
You have exceeded your request quota for this API. See https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages?utm_source=maps_js&utm_medium=degraded&utm_campaign=billing#api-key-and-billing-errors
Generally this means you have not setup a valid payment method with Google.
The Google Maps API key will not be valid and not work until you do. These means the radius search can not work just like the maps themselve do not work.
RE: The second issue we are having is the upload of additional directory entries from the state of Georgia.
Which version of CSV Import do you have installed and activated? The original you purchased from 2013 or the updated version from when you renewed? I ask because the
class.upload.php
file referenced in the error has not been used in Connections for at lest a couple years now.Make sure you have version 2.0.2 installed.
Hope this helps!
