Ok, well, I do not see the issue.
You have used Say What? to change Name to Namer and on the Add/Edit entry page it is indeed displaying as Namer
I’m thinking we are not on the same page with something… where exactly are you trying to change it?
The replaced text shows up correctly on the add/edit page, but not on the forms add/edit page.

Ahhh… that makes sense now. Most of the actual form in Form uses the core Connections code to render its fields. The name fieldset is custom to Form so you must use Form’s text domain which is connections_form. Add a second Name to Say What? but use the connections_form textdomain. That should take care of it.
