ParticipantHow can I rename the name metabox to something else – like preferred name – Say what plugin did not work.
Also, how can I rename the “remove” button?

re; How can I rename the name metabox to something else
I just tested again, using the Say What? plugin does work. PLease check the spelling and capitalization or the original string. It must match exactly. Ensure the text domain is
connections
, what the spelling and capitalization, it too must match exactly.re: how can I rename the “remove” button?
Using Say What? you can change that label too. I just tested again to confirm.
Hope this helps!

ParticipantI confirmed both were spelled correctly. I was able to use Say What for other items – see the screen shot, prefix does change to pronoun(s) but remove stays remove.
I am using Slim Pro and Forms if that matters.

Capitalization matters, the original string is
Remove
, not,remove
.Hoe that helps.

ParticipantThat fixed the remove button, thank you for the clarification. That name label is still not working. I removed it and added it again, but isn’t working still.

I just test the Name label again, and it changes for me. What version of Connections do you have installed? Make sure you have not accidently added a leading or trailing blank space in the original string text.

ParticipantI am using 8.6.1 – I double checked for spaces. Is there a way I can add a code snippet to change that label?

Nope, Say What? is the only way … short of editing the actual PHP code which is not recommended. I guess technically there is a code snippet but it would do the exact same thing as Say What?.
If you give me a WP admin login, I’ll take a look. Details can be posted here as a private reply.

ParticipantWelp, it won’t let me edit my last post to make it private so I am going to change that password and try again.
