Tagged: CSV, search engine
@ Jocelyn
Sorry, but I can’t replicate this. Like before, can you send me a sample CSV where addresses are not being imported?
Well, I decided to manually enter the web addresses, but I still would like to improve the search engine if possible. Now I’m running Connections Version 0.7.4, will you still send the PHP file edits?
Thanks.
@ Jocelyn
No PHP edits necessary with 0.7.4. On the Connections : Settings admin under the Search tab, uncheck keyword search.
Thanks for the info. I still wish the search engine would yield better results when you type more that one word. i.e. If I’m searching for a two word phrase like “ham lake” or “prior lake” or “round lake” the results are the same for all searches. This is unfortunate, because a good search engine would provide less(or more refined) results when you search for multiple words.
@ Jocelyn
If each of the entries returned contains those words, why would that not be a good result?
Because you are searching for an entry that contains both words, not just one word or the other.
Does that make sense?
Another example, I’m searching for John Doe. I don’t want all the Johns to come up just “John Doe” exclusively. (If other entries with just “John” come up, they should fall in after the “John Doe” entry.)
