ParticipantI have purchased some templates and add-ons today, but I can’t seem to access the forums that correspond with those purchases. Please advise.
A few more questions:
1. What format do the website and Facebook links need to be in in order to work with the CSV import tool. I’ve tried http://www… just www…. and no http://www. None of these variations seemed to work with the import tool. The Names, Addresses, and other fields are importing just fine.
2. How do I enable the search engine tool? The search directory tool is there, but when you search for something you get a black screen.
Please continue to write more tutorials on how to use your plugins. This seems like a great product.

KeymasterYou should be able to access the cMap and Tile Plus support forums without issue. The shopping cart that controls access to the forums currently doesn’t support setting more than one item which creates a problem for granting access to the bundles. I am working on fixing that. Please feel free to ask you questions here.
1. Entering the URL without the “http://www.” should work just fine, well, any variation should work. I’ll do another check to make sure.
2. The search should just work on the templates and the widget. Can you please share a link to your directory so I can see what you’re experiencing?

Please test the search tool, and you will see the blank results.
Thank you for looking into the CSV import tool. I hope you can figure out why the web links aren’t transferring.

KeymasterThe search issue is that you have the directory on the same page that is set as the front page. That is bug within Connections. I did release a fix in one of the recent previous versions but it caused other issues so I had to rollback the fix. I’m still working on a proper fix. Right now the only workable solution is to put Connections on any page other than the one set as the front page.

ParticipantThanks, search catastrophe averted!
Please let me know if you have a solution for the CSV import problems as well.

ParticipantHi Steven, I still haven’t been able to import website urls or Facebook urls with the CSV import feature. Do you have a fix for this?
Also, now that the search engine is working, I’ve noticed it doesn’t sort the results by relevancy. For example if you search, “round lake” all entries with “lake” come up in alphabetical order by name. This is not helpful if you are searching for “round lake” exclusively. Are there any improvements being made to the search engine? Relevancy is key when using a search engine.
Thanks.

Keymaster@ Jocelyn
I could have sworn I replied days again…
I can not replicate the problem, my social media test CVS still imports without any problems. Can you attach a sample of the CSV that is causing you the problem?
The search is keyword search much like WP itself. WP sorts by post date [if I remember correctly, that is], Connections sorts by name. But to answer your question, every couple releases I tweak to make it better. If your db setup supports it and you don’t mind making a very small edit to a PHP file, I can give you instructions that’ll yield much better relevant results, but still sorted by name.

ParticipantHere is an excerpt of the file I’m trying to import. http://goo.gl/xEQdO
Instructions to edit the PHP file would be great. Please send. Thanks for all.

I just imported the sample CSV you supplied and the Facebook link imported just fine without alterations or changes. How exactly is it not working for you?
I should have asked, but didn’t think to… what is the exact version of Connections you’re running? I need to know because the change is so small that it’ll be difficult to instruct you without giving you the exact line number you need to make the change on.

GuestConnections CSV seems to recognize the addresses: https://www.dropbox.com/s/fhx3prklxjde0mo/CSV%20Import.png
But then, the addresses to not appear on the cards unless I manually enter them: https://www.dropbox.com/s/swc575aqks665an/Cards.png
Here are the plugin versions I’m running: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1gspsxmhmd26ypj/connections%20versions.png
