GuestUpgrading to 8.16 crashes the entire website.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘::’ (T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM) in /ommitted/path/wp-content/plugins/connections/includes/class.constants.php on line 23
PHP version 5.6.33
Also, when I tried to downgrade to 8.15 as an emergency measure I noticed that 8.15 is over 411 MB in size – all other versions are approximately 8 MB. There appears to have been a mistake when uploading 8.15 to the archive – the zip file includes the entire development repository including copies of every single version ever published.

ParticipantWe were asked to update Connections today, and after the update it crashed the site. i’m not sure where to look for the errors otherwise i would post them here too.

ParticipantSame here but also with error 500 — (which I believe is a permission-based error. Like the code is unable to write to specific files and therefore loops and won’t allow the site to load.)

ParticipantI also had connections-business pro crash wordpress after the update to 8.16, fell back to 8.14
Http 500 occurs whenever php fails/crashes
I got out of the problem by
renaming your connections folder under /wp-content/plugins to something else
reinstalled connections business from wordpress.org
in my case it listed 8.14 and 8.16, active 8.14. activating 8.16 gives a fatal error03/30/2018 at 2:27 pm #457198Tim Tewalt
GuestHi,
Love your plugin, really should charge for it.
But, today the update killed the site:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘::’ (T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM) in /home/naap8041/public_html/wp-content/plugins/connections/includes/class.constants.php on line 23
Any help is appreciated.
For now, I renamed the directory of the connections plugin and the site runs.
Thank you again,
Tim

ParticipantI had the same issue where the update to the Connections plugin caused the site to crash 500 http error message and produced the following error message:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘::’ (T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM) in /home/rairc/public_html/wp-content/plugins/connections/includes/class.constants.php on line 23
Please provide fix asap as it is obviously affecting a lot of your paying customers going on 3-days now. Thank you.

ParticipantThis ticket is now a week old and from what I can see zero response from Connections. Does anyone have an update as I have had to disable this plugin on multiple sites due to this error and I am pretty unhappy about this as I am sure a lot of you are in this thread.
