ParticipantHello, and thank you in advance for your help.
I just updated to the latest version of Connections and I’m having five issues.
- When I select a category from the drop-down menu, it takes me to the correct category… but the name of the category doesn’t appear permanently in the drop-down box. So viewers can’t tell what category they’re in.
- If you do choose a category from the drop-down menu, and then choose a different one… the url paths start accumulating (combining) in the browser.
- The pagination at the bottom of the page is only working partly. The “next” arrow will only advance you to the second page. No farther. And it still indicates in the pagination box that you are one page 1. Also, if you click the “end” arrow, you get a message stating “no results.” Same thing if you type a page number into the pagination box and hit return.
- The search box isn’t working properly. The only way to submit a search query is to type text and hit return. Nothing happens when you mouse over the button to submit a search.
- Although my images are appearing on the front end, they’re not appearing on the backednd… when I’m viewing the “Manage” area of the administrative area of the Connections plugin.
Here is a link to my directory: http://literary-agents.com/directory-literary-agents/literary-agent-directory.
Please help!
Thank you,
Mark

ParticipantI also believe that I need to upgrade to the new version of cMap, but I’m not able to get it by logging in to my account. It only has the old version there. Maybe that’s part of the problem? Please let me know how to download the new version and I’ll install it.
Thanks again,
Mark

The version of cMap listed on your Purchase History page will always be the current version. I highly recommend that you upgrade as it should remedy issues 1 and 2 as well as the pagination issues noted in 3. Issue 4, that is exactly how versions of cMap prior to 2.1 worked. Version 2.1 makes the spyglass clickable.
Please download cMap from your Purchase History and install right over top of the current version. The version number will not change unless you activate a random template and then reactivate cMap, not a necessary step. You’ll be able to confirm that the new version is being used because the spyglass will be clickable for a search.
