Hi, we have the connections widget but now we would like to have new members join our chamber by filling out an application on line. As well it would be great to have current members edit their contact information listing.
Please let me know which extension(s) we require.

You need at least the Link extension and optionally the Form extension.

With our current form I am not able to put logos in, do we need the Cmap template for the ability to put more information in there?
Is there a total package you would recommend rather than these 3 individuals ones?

What do you mean by “our current form“? Are you using the Form extension? If you are, you need to go to the Connections : Settings admin page and enable the Logo field under the Form tab.

OR…

Are you asking in regards to the admin add/edit form? There definitely is a way to add the logo. If you do not see it, perhaps your turned it off by accident. To turn it back on, click the Screen Options tab in the upper right and re-enable it.

Sorry, not sure I understand? Can you provide more detail? Hmmm…. maybe you mean display a logo that was uploaded??? You can display that using the Default Entry Card template. Go to the Connections : Templates admin page and click the Customize button for the Default Entry Card template. Navigate to the Image panel in the Customizer on the left and choose the Logo as the image type.

There is no “total package”. Connections, like many, many, other premium plugins sell extensions, add ons, to enhance — add features, to the free core plugin. Even free plugins such as bbPress and BuddyPress follow this method. This allows keeping the plugin as slim as possible and to let users add only the feature they need. Hope that makes sense.

Oh Steve, please accept my apologies for not being clear, I’m afraid I am quite the newbie, bare with me please.
To answer some questions: no I am not using the form extension ( probably should given my original challenge right?), so unfortunately the great advice you shared, I was unable to follow however, the customize button part worked for adding the logo!!!! Yay!
Now I’m not understanding what the Cmap can do further then, although it seems essential for our website being a Chamber of Commerce.?? Please just say Yes, or NO, LOL
What I meant about package was wondering if any of the premium extensions contained all the silly things I/we needed all in one place. But wasn’t sure which one.
