GuestGood Day!
I inherited a website using your plugin and am running into an issue where members are unable to edit their information. When they login to edit their information, it brings them to their user profile in WordPress. When the update their information there it is not reflected in the Connections plugin. How are they supposed to update their information? Is there an individual Connections profile page that can be displayed where they can edited it? Appreciate your assistance!

The WordPress User Profile admin screen, edit made there will not affect entries in Connections. The Link extension is required for that. Is it installed? If so, what version? When it is installed, there will be a page in addition to the User Profile page there will be a Edit My Directory Entry profile page. It’s on that page the user should edit their entries. Unless the Form extension is installed then your users can edit their entry on the site’s frontend on the directory page.
Hopefully this helps a little. Let me know.

GuestSteven,
Very helpful. Purchased the Link extension and it is serving our needs. Thank you!
New question: is there a way for a notification email to be sent when additions or updates are held in moderation?
Thanks!

Presently the only notifications sent are by the Form extension when an entry hit the mod queue. I do plan on implementing a notification system into the core free plugin but I have not gotten to it yet and I do not really have an eta for it other than very likely this year.

GuestSteven,
Thanks for your response. So the Forms extension is used when New users submit the form to create their directory entry? Can it be used to edit entries and send notifications?
Sounds like we will still need the Form extension because the current issue is that someone creates a User Profile via S2Member, but this doesn’t create an Entry in the Member Directory automatically. Is there another way to do this or do we need the Form extension?
Thanks Much!

Yes.
re: Is there another way to do this or do we need the Form extension?
Sorry, no, not presently. The best solution would be an extension that would “bridge” Connections and s2member so when a user registers with s2member and entry would automatically be added.

GuestSteven,
So it sounds like the Form extension is the “bridge” between Connections and S2 Member. Great! We will pursue that then. Appreciate your guidance!
