ParticipantI was going to export the entries and when I clicked on Export All, I get prompted to upgrade my database. After I click Upgrade, I’m kicked out of our website and get the error message:
Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.
Now I can’t access the front-end or the back-end.
My domain: uhobgyn.org
How do I fix?

I see you just made recently made a purchase, having you been running Connections for a long while or just now installed it? Or, did you install it once before on the site long ago? I’m asking because I’m trying to determine if that database upgrade message was from Connections or something else.
WordPress was pushing updates last night, I wonder if they pushed that update to your site as you were working with Connections.
Try this…
Login into your site with FTP or thru your web host’s control panel file manager.
Navigate to the
../wp-content/folder.Make a new folder named
plugins-deactivated.Navigate to the
../wp-content/pluginsfolder.In that folder you will find the
connectionsfolder. Move that folder to the newly createdplugins-deactivatedfolder.Has access to your site been restored?

ParticipantHi Steven,
I just installed it yesterday, entered a bunch of records, and then was going to test the export feature. I think I had run all WordPress updates prior to installing Connections.
I tried disabling all plugins but still didn’t work.
Anyway, I had a recent database backup, so I just started over. I will let you know if the export fails again.
Thanks!

Ok, if you disabled Connections and all other plugins, the source of the issue was not Connections. Connections does not make permanent changes to WordPress, including the export. If the source were Connections, deactivating with the other plugins would have resolved it. I think this may have been an unfortunate coincidence. Like I said WordPress was pushing updates yesterday, that could have been it. They do auto updates of point “minor” releases. These generally just happen in the background. Perhaps that update had failed for some reason.

ParticipantUnfortunately, it fails again. As soon as a click on the export button, I get shown the notice to upgrade database (see attached). Why does clicking the export prompt for a database upgrade?

RE: Why does clicking the export prompt for a database upgrade?
Unknown. The export has no code at all in it that would tell the core of WordPress to trigger its database upgrade process.
What version of WordPress is installed?
Can you please install this plugin and create a temp admin account so I can review:

Ok, I got in initially, now I am stuck at the upgrade screen. Did something change on you side? Can you restore the admin?
This is definitely the most bizarre thing I’ve seen in WP in recent times.

ParticipantOk, I restored the database again and I created a new temp login (will post after this). Haven’t done anything lately other than install Connections and the latest WP updates.
