GuestI just purchase Connections Pro, CSV Importer and Form
I cannot see the Form displayed on any page. I cannot see an option in Settings | Form to specify what page it displays on
I have the Connections (Local Shopping Directory) on http://mystroud.supercali.com/local-shopping and I want Users/owners of the ads to be able to Create, Update and Delete their own ads – I assume, using the Form. I’d settle for Create though
Please please help – this functionality was the reason for purchasing

Form does allow site visitors to create entries for your directory. You can put Form on any page by putting its shortcode on any page of your choosing, just like you did for the Connections shortcode. Here’s a link to the FAQ. I think you might want to use Link instead. It’ll allow a registered WordPress user on your site to maintain their own entry within Connections. However, this currently requires a trip to their “Edit Directory Entry” page in the admin. I mention this because for some that is not a direction they want to take. Later this year both Form and Link will receive an upgrade so if both are installed, a user will be able to maintain there entry from the front end.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any more questions.

GuestHi
Thanks for responding so quickly.
First off – what is the form’s shortcode. And can it be on the same page as the [Connections] shortcode.
Actually I’ve discovered I can use some of your example code and put the form in a Sidebar which is actually better. However I’m getting stuck: I have :
[connections_form default_type='organization' select_type='false' str_contact_name='Business Contact Information Category='True' photo='true' logo='true' address=’TRUE’ phone=’TRUE’ email=’TRUE’ link=’TRUE’ notes=’TRUE’ bio='False' Social='false' Messenger=’FALSE’ ], but this only shows the company details, Image/Logo select and Category.
What I would like (and I don’t need many fields to be populated) is:
I want all entries to be ‘Organization’ (no Individual)
* Category
* Contact Full Name
* Organisation Name (should be ‘Shop Name’)
* Photo upload
* Logo upload
* Business Street Address
* Business Town (default to “Stroud”)
* Business Post Code (zip)
* Business Phone
* Mobile Phone
* Business Email
* Link (should be ‘Web page’)
* Notes only
Is my code above miles out ?03/19/2013 at 8:38 am #254526Steven Zahm

I’ve looked at the shortcode you’re using, just a few typos, I’ve corrected them below. Since it is long, you’ll have to triple click on it it, then you can copy the whole thing.
[connections_form default_type='organization' select_type='false' str_contact_name='Business Contact Information' category='true' photo='true' logo='true' address='TRUE' phone='TRUE' email='TRUE' link='TRUE' notes='TRUE' bio='false' social='false' messenger='FALSE']
Other than a few small typos, it looks like your shortcode is spot on for the info you want to capture.
