I am having the same issue one of the other users:
I have connections installed, and when i log into wordpress, i get the following errors at the top of my page:
ERROR: Path ../wp-content/connection_images does not seem to exist. Please try deactivating and reactivating Connections.
ERROR: Path ../wp-content/connections_templates does not seem to exist. Please try deactivating and reactivating Connections.
ERROR: Path ../wp-content/plugins/connections/cache does not seem to be writeable.
You say the permissions need to be set manually to those codes you specified, but where do I manually set the permissions?

You need to log on to your site using an FTP app such as FileZilla or use your web host’s file manager that is part of the web host’s control [not all web hosts provide this]. Here’s a general link to a howto using FileZilla that provides some additional background and a step by step.
