ParticipantHi Steve,
I’ve got cmap installed and until recently it was running OK. However, now google maps will not display in the tray, I just get a blank page. I checked through the known Theme and Plugin conflicts but none appear to relevant to my site: http://www.activityneeds.com
See: http://www.activityneeds.com/?page_id=60
I would appreciate any feedback re this problem
Thanks,
Martin

KeymasterActually it is working. Go to this page:
http://www.activityneeds.com/?page_id=513Now click the map for: Salt Ayre Sports Centre
Why are the others not working? I can’t say for sure, but I think Google changed something. Another user in Austria had the same problem. They had to clean up the addresses a bit and add the postal code for each affect entry and then the maps worked again. So, I suggestion editing one entry that isn’t working, hit the “Geocode” button. Hopefully you’ll get a map and then you can drop and drap the pin to the right location. Please let me know if that works for you.

ParticipantHi Steve,
Many thanks for your prompt reply. I’ve just followed your suggestion and hit the geocode button for a couple of entries that weren’t showing and it worked a treat.
It might be an idea to put this ‘Fix’ in the FAQs.
Thanks again.

KeymasterSure thing, now that I’ve had two confirmed cases where the same solution worked, time to write a FAQ.
The curious thing is that geocode button does the same thing that happens automatically when you click to show the map. Wondering, before geocoding, did you correct or change any info in the address?

ParticipantHi Steve,
Just to confirm that I didn’t need to make any changes such as reinserting the zip code etc, I simply pressed the Geocode button, the map reset, I saved the changes and then went to the front end and sure enough the map appeared as it should.
That’s the good news, the bad news is I have more than 900 entries to reset so I’m in for a fun weekend. If you happen to know of a short cut please feel free to let me know.
Regards,
Martin

ParticipantCan I just add my voice to the problem too. All my maps had stopped displaying, this was resolved by clicking the Geocode button on each listing.

ParticipantFurther to my last comments, I’m now finding that the map won’t ‘stick’ so even pressing the Geocode button no longer keeps the map displaying at the front end?

Keymaster@ nigel
Just to confirm, after you clicked the geocode button, you did click the update button so the change was saved?

ParticipantHello,
Purchased the Pro-Pack and so far I’m absolutely thrilled with all of this! I am having an issue with the Geocoding for cmap. I put in the long. and lat. and press the button. It says “Geocoding” and then just sits there doing nothing.
Does this normally take a while? Or perhaps I’m missing something? I really want this feature to work…
Thanks!
I should perhaps mention that the site has a security certificate https:// if that makes a difference…

No, that should happen very quickly. This tells me another plugin is probably doing something it shouldn’t, like possibly, not restricting its JavaScript to its own pages. The only way I can help debug this is if you can grant me a temp admin account so I can take look. You can post the details here, but make sure to check the private reply before posting.
