Did you see my reply about the Link page?
“The error on the Link admin likely has existed for a long time … no either no one noticed or no one reported it before. The next major release of Link is soon to be released, I can install it as it resolves the issue of a missing script that should be loaded on that page. I would still consider it beta only because I may have to make minor tweaks before I actually release it.”re: Also when a teacher is logged in they receive no results from the UK Clubs directory page under clubs menu.
I’m guessing that the “Teacher” role was added after Connections was installed, right? I reset the Teacher Connections role capabilities and then assigned the add/edit moderated capabilities. That fixed the the no results message when they’re logged in.06/04/2014 at 3:35 pm #292998Ian Walters
ParticipantThanks Steve.
Just to clarify, when will we get a fix for the LINK geocode problem?06/04/2014 at 4:37 pm #293006Steven Zahm

I guess my wording must be confusing, sorry. Let me try again…
I can install the next version of Link if you give me permission. This new version will resolve geocode issue because it incorporate changes that better ensure that the proper scripts are loaded on the page.

ParticipantHi Steve,

Ok, I installed the beta and the geocode issue seems to be fixed now.
And, just an fyi that you might find interesting.
Link 2.0 and Form 2.0 offer tighter integration. What this means to you is that you could use Form to allow your teachers to maintain their entry from the front-end. With Form 2.0 and Link 2.0 installed, you can configure two action links that will appear above the directory, “View My Directory Entry” and “Edit My Directory”. The edit link will use Form 2.0. Actually you can do this now, just the edit link will take you to the Link admin page instead. The options are under the Display tab on the Connections : Settings admin page.
Let me know if you run into any issue with the Link beta.

Oh, I should have added Form 2.0 is already released and, since we were focusing on the geocode issue, Form does not have the geocode button.
One last thing, I see you’re using cMap 3.1. I highly suggest updating to 4.0 which is currently a free download for you. You can access the download from your purchase history page. After you update, add your support license key on the Connections : Settings admin page under the Licenses tab that way you will be notified of updates when I release updates — just like the plugins from .org.
