GuestHi,
A client of mine has the form submission on his site, but he is asking for a notification email. Is there any place I can add a mail() function line for it to send a basic email? I see there seems to be email notification settings in Connections, but it does not seem to send emails. I did add an SMTP plugin as well in case it needs SMTP authorisation etc.
Thank you,

Form uses the standard wp_mail() function to send email…
So, it is likely the email address that the notification email is being sent to is blocking it or the email client is putting it in the spam folder.
I suggest de-activating the SMTP plugin, that can complicate setup… and then try changing the email addresses that the notifications to be sent to, to Gmail or Hotmail accounts. I suggest them because I know thru testing that they do not block the notification emails.
Please let me know how you make out.

GuestCan I bump this? Everything is working correctly, except that I’m not receiving the notification email, which I have set to go to a gmail account. The submitter email works perfectly.
Thank you!

Have you check the spam folder to be certain Gmail is not trapping it? Also, can you double check to make sure the admin notice is enabled.

ParticipantI am able to send email notice of receipt but the submission notice is not going through. I used GMail for both addresses. Please help.

All I can say is that both emails are sent at the same time and the email is being blocked somewhere along the path. Maybe try a SMTP email plugin for WordPress. I’ve read that can resolve WordPress email issues.

Good to hear. From what I’ve read, that can solve email issue with WordPress.

If you’re testing while logged in and you’re a user that can add new entries, you will not get sent a notice. Could that be the issue?
