RE: is it possible to import this same CSV file with more fields with dates but have the entries merge with the first/last names and just add those dates? Or will it create new entries?
If you import the same file a second time, new entries will be created. One option is you can use the Export All tool found on the bottom of the Connections : Tools admin page under the Export tab.
You can edit that file, adding additional details and import that file to update existing entries.
Just one limitation to be aware of. If you have multiple dates assigned to an entry of the same type only one of those types will be exported so when you import the second of that type will be removed.
Fort example, say you have added to “Birthday” dates to an entry. Only one will be export and the send remove upon importing the file again.
RE: I have these two search bars appearing
It looks like you may have added the search widget to the page. Remove the shortcode which embeds that widget in the page.
RE: is there a way to remove fields from appearing when I manage entries? I don’t want address, social handles, etc to appear at all
Click the Screen Options in the upper right of the page and uncheck the fields you do not want to be displayed to you. The Add and Edit pages are configured separately so you’ll need to do it twice.
Hope this helps!
If you have a moment, I would truly appreciate a review as they really do make a difference.

Do you see the entries on the site’s frontend, while not logged in?
On the Connections : Manage admin page make sure all the filter drop downs are set to “All…” and click the filter button. Do this even if they already say all.
Did that help? If not, try…
Navigate to the Connections : Roles admin page, check the Reset All Role Capabilities options and save the changes?
Did that help? If not, try…
Creating a temp second admin account and login into that account. Do you see the entries now?

ParticipantNo I don’t see them on the front end when not logged on!
Resetting roles didn’t help.
No, setting up another admin account didn’t help.
I do have an update for connections that I just noticed but I’m scared to update it because I don’t know what’s going on and I don’t want to lose that data permanently. And I can’t back it up because I don’t see any entries saved. Should I still update?
Also it seems like it didn’t save my date fields that I added yesterday. It’s only showing 14 of the 24 that I added, so how can I add them back and prevent them from deleting?

Apologies for the delay in my reply! I’ve been having trouble with my web hosting account the past couple days and keeping things running has been a challenge the past couple days.
Please use this plugin to create a temp admin account:

Reply back, as a private reply, with the login link and I’ll take a looks ASAP.

I corrected this yesterday. Looks like I got distracted with other issues and did not send my reply…
The issue was that somehow the date fieldset configuration options became corrupted. This corruption affected the primary query. The solution ended up being simple. I only clicked the Save button on the Fieldset Config settings admin page which cleared up the corruption and everything went back to functioning normally.
Hope this helps!

ParticipantThat’s great! Thanks so much!!
Any thoughts on why my date fields didn’t save? I added about 24 dates to the settings and the only one’s I see there is maybe 10. Is there a maximum? And how can I make sure that all of my 24 get saved?
