GuestI just uploaded your plugin and have been entering data in for our address book/business directory (wanting a very simple interface). I’ve given the entries a category. Our website is not live yet – we’re still setting it up. When I go from the back of house to the website to look at the entries that I put in, I don’t see any categories listed. Will they be anywhere within the listing? Will people be able to search our listings by these categories?
Thank you.

There are a couple options to add searching and a category list. One is a template such as cMap which has both searching and a category filter. The other is the Widget Pack. It has widgets for both search and a category list that can be added to the theme’s side bar. You could even use both cMap and the widgets if you wanted.
I hope that helps!

GuestThank you for your help. I had a couple more questions regarding the two products you listed. Ideally we would like to have our whole business directory listed on our page in alphabetical order with a search drop down box at the top that listed our categories. When you click on a certain category, you would then only get the listings that are in that category. So people could look through our whole list or narrow it down using categories. We are using the chameleon elegant theme. We are concerned about either of these working with that theme, especially on platforms other than a PC. Would the widgets give us what we are looking for? If we need to go with the cMap, will it work with the responsive theme we are using?
