ParticipantI upgraded to the latest version of Connections today and after the upgrade all my entries, categories etc. have all disappeared. Is there any way to get my data back? All of the images etc. are still on my server as I can see them when I log into my domain using Filezilla.
The second problem is the way that the new version of Connections is now configured within the admin system. I have been using the Connections Profile template on two different pages by adding the category to the shortcode and this worked fine before I upgraded. However, I note that you are now supposed to use the settings tab to select which page to run connections on. This has totally messed up my site. What do I do now?
I have tried deleting Connections and reinstalling an older version (I created a copy of all the files first). But all my entries are still lost.
Please tell me I do not need to create all the entries again?

I sure everything is fine and there will be no need to re-enter anything.
Which version of Connections were you upgrading from? Were you requested to go thru a database update?

ParticipantHi Steven,
I think I upgraded from version 0.7.1.6. I was asked to go through a database update. I thought since I had copied the original folder from the server to my desktop that I would have a backup in case anything went wrong.
What can I do to get my entries back?
Thanks
Deborah

The entries are stored in the database just like your blog posts and pages in WordPress. It’s the safest place to store them.
0.7.1.6 was really old but there should not be an issue with upgrading.
Were there any errors shown in the output of the database upgrade?
Are you running WordPress multi-site?
Can you attach screen captures of the Connections : Dashboard admin page, specifically the “System” widget?
Can you attached a screen capture of the Connections : Manage admin page, specifically the upper right corner? What I am look to see is the values shown in all the drop downs and the All | Approved | Pending section.
What can you do to get the entries back? That’s what we’re going to establish. I need details before I can even begin to offer a solution.

ParticipantHi Steven,
I am not running multisite. I have attached a screen print of the Connections dashboard.
Thanks
Deborah

I still need to see this screen capture:
Can you attached a screen capture of the Connections : Manage admin page, specifically the upper right corner? What I am look to see is the values shown in all the drop downs and the All | Approved | Pending section.
Instead of creating a PDF can you use Print Screen instead? The key usually right by the F12 key. Then open Paint and Paste the screen capture from the clipboard. Make sure to save it as a JPG as a BMP will be too large to upload.

ParticipantHi Steven,
Here is the requested screen print but it is empty as my entries all disappeared after the upgrade!

Thanks, I think I see the issue. I’m fairly certain the database upgrade had an error occur. I ca fix this, but I will need a temp admin account. You can post the details here, but please make sure to check the private reply box before posting the reply.
