ParticipantI have just discovered after adding about 26 entries, is that if I log out of the WordPress editor and just view the website from a “normal” web browser, when I view the Connections page (Business Directory) and click on the “Show Map” button on an entry, first thing that happens is the view jumps to the top of the page, and when scrolling back down to the entry to look at the map, the map window is empty. No other error messages, just an empty box.
If I view the entry by clicking the business name where it only shows that single entry, the map box is again blank.
During all the time that I have been adding and editing, and I use the “view” option under Manage, the maps look perfect, and the list view does not jump to the top of the page, the map just drops out the way it is designed.
I have tried this now on three different computers, and 3 different browsers, and the problem is the same on all. Any thoughts?
Thanks.

This indicates that there is either a fatal javascript error on the site, breaking javascript execution or that the javascript for the cMap template is not being loaded like it should. You’ll need to share a link to the directory so I can take a look.

There is a fatal javascript error… did you disable the Google Maps API on the Connections : Settings admin page under the Advanced tab in the Compatibility section? If you did, can you please enable it?

ParticipantThe Google Maps API v3 box IS checked, the JavaScript box IS checked, and the JQuery and Templates boxes ARE NOT checked.
Not sure which way disables, etc.

Hmmm… I missed this when I first looked… the site is reporting that two core Connections javascripts are not found. Reporting status of 404. Load the page in Chrome, hit the F12 key and click the Console tab to see the errors.
PLease deactivate Connections, just the core plugin and delete it. You data and settings are safe. Now reinstall Connections. Do the errors persist? If they do, then log on to your site with FTP and navigate to these folders and verify that the file exist:
- ../wp-content/plugins/connections/vendor/chosen/chosen.jquery.min.js
- ../wp-content/plugins/connections/vendor/jquery-gomap/jquery.gomap.min.js
If the files exist, something on the server is preventing them from being served.
Let me know what you learn.

ParticipantOnce again your genius status is confirmed. Deactivated, uninstalled, re-installed, re-checked and it works like a champ.
Thanks again for your support.
