I’m unable to replicate this error. To debug this, I’ll need an FTP and an admin WP login. The details can be posted here as a private reply.

ParticipantThank you. But I am still not able to edit the category. I am getting this error :
Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.
Please see screenshot as well.
Also could you guide me how to remove the individual entries from the page that are shown below the grid and just show the Category Grid? Which short code should I use?

RE: Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.
Your user permissions were not correct, I’ve reset them on the Roles admin page, you should now be able to edit categories again.
RE: could you guide me how to remove the individual entries from the page that are shown below the grid and just show the Category Grid?
Disable the “Display the categories above the results list?” option on the Connections : Settings admin page under the General tab.
Remove the
[connections]shortcode from theAgents Directorypage and replace it with[connections_categories]shortcode.Create a new page for your directory entries adding the
[connections]shortcode to it and setting it as the directory home page.Hope that helps!

Navigate to the Connections : Roles admin page check the reset all option and save the changes. If this keeps happening then the cause is another plugin or theme removing role capabilities from the WordPress permissions.

ParticipantOk. It worked.
But still facing an issue.
- [connections_categories] option is having multiple errors. For
example, when I click on the category, it is not opening the category
page. When I created a new entry, it opened in a new window but the
entries are not showing. The page is again showing the category grid
but not the individual entries in that particular category. But when I used just [connections] short code, it is working fine.
On the Agents Directory page, I just want to display grid and each
grid opening up that particular category page. - How can I remove/ edit the individual entry display? I don’t want to show ‘Categories’ and ‘Updated time’.
- How can I add some space around 10px between the individual grid elements? And remove overlay title of the category?

Please follow the instructions in my previous reply.
The result should be
- “Agents Directory” page with
[connections_categories]shortcode. - A new page, named what ever you want, with the
[connections]shortcode. This new page needs to be set as the directory home page. Do not put in the sites nav. - You must have the “Display the categories above the results list?” disabled.
With this done, the “Agents Directory” will only display the category grid. Clicking on a category will take you to the new page with the directory filtered by the category which has been clicked.
Use the Template Customizer to remove the “Categories” and “Last Updated”. Navigate to the Connections Templates admin page and click the Customize button for the Default template.
The category grid displays as is. To remove the overlay and add spacing, you’ll need to come up with the CSS to do so. You could option to display the grid as a list instead. This is an option in the settings.
Hoe that helps!
