Sorry, no, but it is not possible to use multiple template within the same entry list.

That said…

It is possible to have a single template that can display different data and even have different style based on membership tier. This, of course, is something that would have to be custom coded.

When you say map template, I assume you mean the cMap template, yes?

There is no logo template but the cMap template does display the logo.

Here’s a new trick that can be done with Connections…

1. Edit your entries in the admin.
2. While on the edit page, scroll to the “Custom Fields” metabox.
3. Click the Enter New link in the Add New Custom Field: section.
4. Enter order for the Name and the order number in the Value field.
5. Click the Update button.
6. Do this for all entries. This is important because any entry not assigned an order will not show up in the results.
7. Edit the page where you inserted the [connections] shortcode.
8. Change the shortcode to: [connections order_by='meta_key:order|NUMERIC_ASC']

Now you entries should appear in the desired order.

Yes, the Family entry type is still very much supported and is not going away…

I’m not sure what is meant by this:

You have the option of choosing an entry type at the time of creation of the entry. You also have the option of changing the entry type when editing an entry. This has not changed. Could you give further details on this issue?

WordPress User accounts and Connections entries area one to one relationship with Link. A user can not be linked to multiple entries even if they have a matching email address. I do have some very rough code that would link multiple users to a single entry but not the other way around, sorry.

This is easily solvable by setting the email addresses to private. Edit the entries of those of who wish to not have their address public and set the visibility of the email address to “Unlisted”.

An email address would have been required in order to create a user account. What ever email address you used to create those account for those who did not give an email address, use that same email address when adding their entry.

I do not believe this will be an issue because duplicate email addresses can not be used when creating WordPress user accounts. All email addresses must be unique.

Yes, it should be safe to simply delete the older version and then install the new version. Before deleting the old template files, I would suggest making a backup of them first. Should not be needed but none the less it is the safe step to do.
