No, there is no shortcode or PHP function within Connections to create a lightbox effect.

Sorry, no, Connections does not have this feature.

The issue you’re experiencing isn’t Connections related, well, sort of, but not really yet. The theme or another plugin is loading jQuery 1.9 instead of the version bundled with WordPress. This is a very poor practice because this will cause a problem for many plugins, including Connections because the code depends on the version of jQuery that is bundled with WordPress. jQuery 1.9 removed a function that Connections uses to show the loaded images rather than the spinner. I do need to update that code because it is likely the next version WordPress will come with jQuery 1.9.
So what’s the solution, if you grant me a temp admin account I’ll make edit to Connections to completely remove the spinner.

Can you please try force refreshing the browser and share a link to your directory so I can take a look?

Well, that doesn’t make any sense. Do the entries appear in the admin? Did we establish if I could get a temp admin account or not? I can’t remember. It sure would be helpful.

KeymasterI see that you have purchased the Pro Pack bundle, right now there is an issue with being able to grant the proper access for bundles, please feel free to ask you questions here.
The issue with Tile and Tile Plus is that they require specific image size settings as detailed on the product pages. Here’s the settings you need to set on the Connections : Settings admin page under the Images tab:
Medium Image size MUST be set to:
Width: 80px
Height: 120px [or smaller]NOTE: If images have already been uploaded in a different size they will need to be uploaded again after the image settings are applied to be compliant with this template.
Hope that helps.

KeymasterThe search issue is that you have the directory on the same page that is set as the front page. That is bug within Connections. I did release a fix in one of the recent previous versions but it caused other issues so I had to rollback the fix. I’m still working on a proper fix. Right now the only workable solution is to put Connections on any page other than the one set as the front page.

KeymasterSounds good, looking forward to the feedback … I use it to guide development priorities.
In regards to Link and families, you can still use families, but the admin would have to create them. Link assumes the WordPress user is either an individual or a representative of an organization so Link will only present those two options as a choice.

1) Connections does support many custom ordering options, but only set at the shortcode, it is not user select-able. Here’s the link to the doc page. One of the options are a random order, so that may suit your needs.
2) You could create an image map so it links to a specific sets of search results within Connections, but you would have to create the image map, Connections doesn’t have that built-in.

KeymasterYou should be able to access the cMap support forum now.
