GuestHi Steve
Is Gravity Forms still a good solution with Connections? I can’t find any dates on when the posts were written vs when your Form came out?

Currently Form is the only official add on for front-end entry submissions as the Gravity Forms connector has not yet been released. Both of these will be options. Form is intended to be the simply plug and play solution while the Gravity Forms Connector is intended for advanced users / devs which is why it will be available as a separate item not included in the current bundles.
If you are interested in the Gravity Form Connector, let me know.

I ended up buying the whole Connections pro package cause I wasn’t 100% sure what I needed. Setting up form and link wasn’t hard and I was able to change a lot of visibility options thanks to your suggestions that I found throughout the forums.
I also bought a gravity forms subscription because someday I’d like a paid option but that might not be in the real near future. Do you feel like it’s worth setting up? It does have a nice look…

RE: Do you feel like it’s worth setting up?If Form meets your needs presently, then no, it is not worth setting up. If you need a complex custom form, then the Gravity Form Connector is worth it.
RE: It does have a nice look
Gravity Forms or Connections Form? Gravity Forms does not have much is style of its own as it mostly inherits from the theme. So if the theme dev took the time to nicely format form fields, Gravity Forms will like nice. Connections Forms largely mimics the admin form using the grey color scheme as it is largely color neutral so it will look fine in most themes.
Not sure I answered your question, but I hope have!

Just as an FYI – When I click “Favorite”, the topics don’t always save. I’ve favorited about 20 posts with your code and or suggestions to others and none of them saved. One question I asked under another topic did save. This thread won’t save. Strange huh? Is this bbPress? (I was signed in the whole time).
I will try the connector I think…just to see…..thanks Steve!

RE: When I click “Favorite”, the topics don’t always save
Just been testing this, I too can not get them to save. I’ve searched to see if anyone else has reported and found a couple. In each instance there were no replies.
RE: Is this bbPress?
Yes, it is. I see version 2.6 is in RC stage and one of the improvements is better favorites & subscriptions management. So perhaps this is being addressed in the next update. bbPress updates are very slow, so, it could be awhile until we see a release. :(
