When I try to use Alphaindex shortcode it leads me to the wrong URL. For instance, if I want to go to H, I should click on H and it should go to this working URL:
but it puts a “-directory” at the end of the url, leading me to a 404 page so it looks like this:
It does that with all the letters. Can I edit this to point the letters in the right URL without the “-directory” at the end?10/31/2014 at 11:45 am #308663Steven ZahmKeymaster
The file in the theme causing this is named
directory_script.jsand can be found here:
It seems this script specifically targets Connections and its links. Its kind of neat to see a theme target Connections but it is confusing why they would append
-directoryto the character index links.
You’ll have to remove this file to keep the theme from loading it. You should also contact the theme’s dev because this seems to be a bug to me in their theme.
Hope that helps!10/31/2014 at 11:54 am #308664Sami RizviParticipant
Thanks for your prompt reply. It’s an old, un-updated theme, that we are going to update soon. I removed the part of the code that wanted to go to “-directory” and it works as great now. Many thanks from everyone here at NSSEO!10/31/2014 at 12:08 pm #308665Steven ZahmKeymaster
