HI there not sure if I have set this up properly

I have a main page that lists all the categories (a) and subcategories (cities that begin with a) that show the amount of entries

That shows up fine – BUT when I go to click on the subcategory cities they just click to nothing – no entries there

what am I missing?

from what I can tell from the page source, it looks like you added the shortcode for the category widget to the page, of course you can do that, but it you still need to add the [connections] shortcode to the page too (which from what I can tell is not there). Did you add the [connections] shortcode to the page? If you did, can you add it?

HI there – I have just added the connections code to the page in addition to the widget category code -but now I see all the detailed listings instead of just the category listings?

Looks like it working to me…

This page shows all entries:

http://[REDACTED]/vets_ontario/

This page shows all that are category “A”:

http://[REDACTED]/vets_ontario/cat/vets_ontario/a/

And this shows all “Acton”:

http://[REDACTED]/vets_ontario/cat/vets_ontario/a/acton/

If you put the category widget shortcode back on the page (that was removed), above the [connections] shortcode you will see the category links again. Clicking the link should filter by the category clicked.

NOTE: If you are going to use the links from the widget, you should disable the category filter feature in the template.
