ParticipantHello,
Is there a setting that links the directory profile to the WP author profile, when the authored/link connections are set up?
For example, my user also has a directory listing:
http://dev-edible-alpha.pantheonsite.io/author/zsmuckerbryan/
http://dev-edible-alpha.pantheonsite.io/directory/name/edible-alpha/And I am trying to see if I can link them without manually adding the directly listing as the author’s website or instructing the contributor to.
All the best,
Zac

Sorry, no, there is not… that said, I do not see why something could be added to either Link (maybe as an entry action link) or Authored (before and/or after the latest posts) or both.
What do you have in mind? … other than to avoid manually put them in the entry.

ParticipantHello,
Thanks for that. I will update that manually for the time being.
I was imagining something where the user could have an option to apply their WordPress user bio/links or vice versa, just so they 1) don’t have to do it twice and 2) in case someone is not using WordPress to contribute posts (essentially the contribution process is outside of WordPress) and thus doesn’t have access to the WordPress interface.
Thanks!
Zac

ParticipantHello,
One of the people in my directory is not linking to their related post:
http://dev-edible-alpha.pantheonsite.io/directory/name/adam-haen/
http://dev-edible-alpha.pantheonsite.io/essential-questions-and-steps-for-food-startups/Link is working fine for me:
http://dev-edible-alpha.pantheonsite.io/directory/name/zacary-smucker-bryan/
Any thoughts as to why this could be?
I manually added the post to the person rather than them contributing after logging in, and I added them to the directory before I added the post, in case that makes a difference.

Has Adam logged in? Only after he has will his WP user account and directory entry be linked.
You can check by navigating to the Connections Manage admin page and searching for his name. If it is linked it will say so in the far right side of the table row.
Hope this helps, let me know.

ParticipantThanks – I bet that is it. I will let you know if I encounter other issues.
