GuestHi Steven,
When I switch to Visual on the front end user form the text field totally disappears. I have removed the visual/text tabs for the moment as a quick fix..but this leaves it in the text mode….would really like to get this resolved.
I’m seeing some funny stuff on the Events Plugin form too…but this is resolved by unchecking the Editor function in settings…and more related to the TinyMCE menu…plus, even when I have visual/text enabled on the Events Manager Form…the text field displays
The Connections form only displays if you are registered and logged into the site as a Collectible Resource Pro.

Have you updated to WP 3.9? Let take a look at the page source … yep, it’s WP 3.9. WP 3.9 had a major update to the visual/text editor which broke plugins relaying it. Some worse than others.
I have fixed this in Form 1.0.3. If your support license has not expired, you can download it free of charge from you purchase history.
After you update, it should work normally again. Oh, keep an eye out for Form 2.0 ;) coming soon…

ParticipantThat did the trick! How on earth did I miss that form update? Thanks Steven!

Very easy to miss… I think, which is why all next major updates to the templates and extension will contain a new feature that enables single-click in-admin updates like plugins from wordpress.org. Unfortunately one has to update to the version that has that feature in order to have it moving forward as I have no way to enable it on templates and extensions that have already been downloaded and installed.
Hope that helps!

ParticipantI know this topic has been marked as resolved, but I am experiencing an issue which I think is the same as what the OP described, but in a different place.
When adding a new category or editing an existing one, the category description can only be edited in ‘text’ mode. If you switch to ‘visual’, there is no toolbar and the text area is a blank, white space.
This is with the latest versions of WP (3.9) and Connections (0.8.5)

I’ve confirmed the bug … I forgot about that one when I fixed the others. I’ll make sure it’ll get fixed in the next bug fix release which I’m planning on releasing next week.

ParticipantI too, have a related issue to this bug. I had the exact original problem that Will had and I had it on 2 sites. Updating to 1.0.3 Form fixed one site nicely.
But I have a remaining issue: I still don’t have the Text editor functioning on the 2nd site. Visual is OK but hadn’t been. Now Text has a headache. Over here: http://www.kingstonlandlordassociation.com/join-directory/
I notice you stay on top of these fixes quite well, and I appreciate your help Steven!

I just visited the site, the text editor seems to b working fine, but the theme is overriding some of the core WordPress styles. Add the following to the theme’s custom CSS area or to the end of its
styles.css
file:input[type="button"].ed_button, div input.ed_button.button.button-small { color: #000 !important; } .wp-editor-area { background-color: #FFF; }
That should fix it up.
To fix up that huge gap at the top … another CSS conflict, add this:
#cn-form #title { height: auto; float: none; width: auto; text-indent: 0; overflow: visible; text-transform: none; font-family: inherit; }
