I have an issue with one of my contacts. The information is displayed properly but when you click on “View Profile” it returns no result.
The link generated is:
While the correct link should be:
It seems like it’s omitting the category in which the contact is created. Entry in question is OMalley.

No, that looks like the correct URL to me. The cat is not part of the URL because the entry can belong to an unlimited number of categories. You would have to share a link to your directory so I can take a look.
Make sure you have the directory home page set correctly on the Connections :: Settings admin page under the General tab.11/21/2016 at 11:24 am #40053011/21/2016 at 11:56 am #400536
What is the exact shortcode used on the directory home page and the specialty areas staff page?
Also, can you attach a screenshot of the admin edit page for OMalley.
You can post this as a private reply.11/21/2016 at 12:06 pm #40053711/21/2016 at 12:31 pm #400552
Is the entry, by chance, assigned to one of the categories you have listed in the
exclude_categoryshortcode option?11/21/2016 at 12:35 pm #400553
the entry in question is ID=39.
The categories listed under exclude are the sub-categories of departments only.11/21/2016 at 1:19 pm #400564
Ok, but is she assigned to any of categories that have been excluded (including the children categories of the excluded categories).
That’s important because if she has been assigned to any of the excluded categories, she will not be able to be displayed.
Perhaps sharing a screenshot of the categories admin page will help… that way I can see the category IDs.11/21/2016 at 1:47 pm #400570
Yes. The contact was also part of the excluded categories. This fixed the issue.
Thank you so much.11/21/2016 at 1:49 pm #400571
