Hi there, so I purchased some themes and plugins a while ago but finally have time to try an get this up for my website this weekend. I’ve been playing around with it but ran into a few issues, most seem related to Forms so thought would ask here:

 
1. Will SlimPlus be responsive?

2. Using “Form” and “Link”, a subscriber submits a new directory entry using the Form, and enters in the email address they have for their account, but later if they Edit the entry all the fields are empty (the previously added entry does not appear to be linked)?

3. Currently the Form only allows you to submit new entries, can there be another Form allowing users to edit their entries? Having different ways to Add and Edit makes it more difficult for users.

4. With Form can we default a type (like to Private) or do we always have to manually do this through moderation (seems to default to unlisted)?

5. The “Edit my directory entry” from the “Howdy” menu seems to only appear in the WordPress Dashboard, when I’m viewing my website the Edit option is not present in the Howdy menu.

1. Slim Plus and the newly update Slims should work fine with responsive themes. They were both tested against the Twenty Twelve theme at various screen sizes.

2/3/4. Right now Form and Link serve two different purposes. Form is not yet “Link” aware so it’s only purpose is to allow site visitors to submit entries for the directory, not for users to maintain their entry. If you want users to be ale to maintain their own entry they should use the admin page that Link creates to submit it. Later this you’re the will both receive updates to make the experience much more unified.

5. Update Link to the latest version, it contains a fix for this. The update can be downloaded from your Purchase History.

Thanks very much for your replies. I updated as recommended and it did fix issue number 5, thanks for that.

Thanks for the info on 2/3/4, a bit of a bummer but I understand Link is new so will take some time for other things to be all aligned. Having a Form for both add/edit where we can “hide” the fields not used will go down a treat, as it will make it simpler when I’m dealing with not very techy users. So will be eagerly awaiting that feature.

With the paid add-ins, what’s the easiest way to be notified of new versions released with fixes etc so we can keep on top of those? Since I see we can’t just do the update like we do with free plugins.

Right the best way to be notified for updates is to follow me on Twitter, Google+ or the RSS feed. I post all notifications there. Another place is the Connections : Dashboard admin page. It’ll show update announcements there. Soon’ish, I will also be offering in admin upgrades just like the free plugins … almost there.
