ParticipantHi, When users update their directory profile, the changes are not showing up after they press submit. In addition, my daughter Tayla Browder, set up a new directory listing. She submitted and went back to review, and her listing is not showing. She doesn’t appear registered in the directory.
I can forward my temporary login info.

The user/pass is incorrect. I can not login. Please post as a private reply.
Also, as a suggestion or two…
- Check you moderation queue. Are the entries there?
- Are you using a caching plugin? If you are, please flush the page cache.

I logged in and added a “My Directory Entry” for the user account you gave me. After I did, it did immediately in the directory. I’ve deleted this test entry so it does not appear in your directory. So, in this test it work like it should. Can you give a specific user who made a change and what that change was that did not show up as an example?
That said…
You did mention your daughter’s account. I switched to that and I see the issue, I think. When a subscriber submits their directory entry (or changes), that submission is being “hijacked” by maybe Wishlist or maybe by BuddyPress so the new entry and/or changes are never actually submitted. I suspect it is Wishlist doing a redirect to prevent access to other profile admin pages. Could you contact their support and ask if their plugin does that and if there is a way to add an exception? If they can not answer those questions, If you can give me a copy, for debugging only, I can likely answer those questions myself pretty quickly.

GuestI suspect that it works when you are an admin. Sheila Hawkins and LaKisha Sarbah both updated their profiles, but not showing.
I will contact Wishlist and ask that question.
Thank you!

Yes, working on admin accounts is what makes me suspect that Wishlist is causing the redirect before the entry add/changes happen. That, and I know, other users use Connections with BuddyPress without issue.
Like I said, if they can not help, with a copy of their plugin, I’ll be able to figure it out pretty quickly.
Look forward hearing back what you find out.

re: I followed directions and then logged into my daughter’s account and set up her a directory listing. When I searched for it, she wasn’t listed.
You can tell that it does not work even without searching for. When adding an entry you should stay on the same page and have a success message. Instead the page is redirected the user profile admin page.
I read the response from Wishlist… they are a little confused as to what is being asked. I understand the confusion because usually when you talk about user redirects, it is about after a user logins in. This is not the issue we’re dealing with. A user can login just fine. It is the form submission for the directory in the admin is being redirected when adding/editing an entry.
So… next steps…
Can I get a FTP login? What I plan on doing is downloading your entire
plugins
folder. I’ll do a search across all plugins at the same time looking in their code for any and every instance a plugin does a redirect. Finding these specific instances will allow me to figure out what I need to do to make sure the directory add/edit gets to process before the redirect happens.01/27/2016 at 5:12 pm #362701Sylvia Browder
