ParticipantJust updated to version 0.7.3.4 and now the category filtering is not working as it should. I’m using the premium cMap template and have category_multi_select enabled. When categories are selected and the search is executed it returns “no results” every time. It worked prior to the update. I’m just building my directory so have only a few entries now, but would like to get it working as soon as possible. Please advise. Thanks.

ParticipantRe-posting my question here from the general forum. (Sorry, I’m a premium template user and didn’t realize this is the place to be. Thanks.)

KeymasterA few users are reporting having the same issue. I am looking it to it. I’ll push out another update an soon as I have a solution. It shouldn’t take too long.

KeymasterI just wanted to add that category_multi_select option is an undocumented alpha feature. I can’t make promises on how well it’ll work in practice.

ParticipantFair enough, Steven. It’s a great feature that I hope moves out of alpha. It seemed to be working prior to the update, so perhaps it will work again with the fix. Thanks again.

KeymasterCan you please try version 0.7.3.5 to see if that resolves the issue for you. Thanks! Oh, the multi-select will still be broke in this version. Honestly, I don’t think it completely worked in the last. It likely filtered the categories correctly, but the select box didn’t properly reflect the selected categories.

Participant0.7.3.5 doesn’t change the problem I was having regarding category multi-select. I reverted back to 0.7.3.1 and it is working as before. I only have a few directory entries at this point, but as I’ve been testing this older version with category multi-select it seems to be working as it should. As I add more entries to the directory, I’ll keep a close eye to see if it continues to work.
I’d really like to stay current with the latest releases here, though, rather than be stuck in an older version. The category multi-select, however, offers me much needed functionality. When do you expect this will part of the main/current feature set? And what functionality might I be missing out on with the older version?
Thanks for your work on this.

KeymasterThe multi-select is fixed in version 0.7.3.6. Can’t comment yet on when this will be officially supported though.

ParticipantSteven,
Thanks for the update. It looks and is working as I would hope. One other question, though. Since this new update, I am unable to keep my comments turned off on the WP page that holds the connections shortcode. I’m using the Disqus plugin. Any insight on how/why Connections might be interfering with keeping the comments turned off on this page. (I have them turned off on the back end of this page, but the setting has no effect.)

Thanks again. All the best.

ParticipantSteven,
I found a work around to problem I was having with being unable to hide Disqus comments from the page with [connections] short code. I used CSS on the page to hide the Disqus container. Works fine. Thanks again for your hard work on this cool plugin. (And great support.)
