ParticipantThis is the message I get when I try to update
“An error occurred while updating Connections cMap – Template: Before you can receive product updates, you must first authenticate your Elegant Themes subscription. To do this, you need to enter both your Elegant Themes Username and your Elegant Themes API Key into the Updates Tab in your theme and plugin settings. To locate your API Key, log in to your Elegant Themes account and navigate to the Account > API Key page. Learn more here. If you still get this message, please make sure that your Username and API Key have been entered correctly”
I have carried out the specified process more than once and the update still won’t download successfully.
I am unable to edit/manage any of my connections entries.

re: I am unable to edit/manage any of my connections entries.
It sounds like Elegant Themes is injecting their error message incorrectly. You might want to raise that to their support team because that is a bug in their theme.
re: I am unable to edit/manage any of my connections entries.
The cMap license will not not prevent you from adding or editing entries. Actually it does not have any limitations other than being able to access updates to itself.
If you can not add or edit entries, that is another issue. What errors are you seeing? Can you describe as exactly as possible the issue?
re: update cMap
Navigate to your purchase history page and click the licenses tab and copy your support license for cMap. Now, navigate to the Connections : Settings admin page and click the Licenses tab. Paste in your support license key for cMap and Activate it. After you do, you should be able to update without issue. If you still receive the same error immediately after activating your support license key, just give it a little time and try again.
Hope that helps, let me know.

Great to hear you were able to update. Another user had the same problem yesterday too and there have been a few other in the past too which prompted me to write a couple FAQs on the topic.

If you take a look and have any feedback, please feel free to let me know. I am always looking to improve the documentation.
Apologies for the trouble!
