GuestHi,
I have Link and Form installed and am testing that the user can edit their directory entry for moderation.
I find that if the user edits and submits an entry then logs out, when they log back in again, the View Directory entry has gone, and when they click on “Edit Directory entry” they get a 404 page not found error. This resolves once the edited entry has been moderated.
If they edit and submit an entry and then try making another edit, they get a “Token mismatch. Cheating?” error. Then if they log out and in again and try and edit the directory entry, they get the 404 error as above.
Any idea how I can stop this from happening?
Regards,
Julia

GuestBy the way, I saw on another thread that a caching plugin may have been responsible for the “Token mismatch” error. I have therefore deactivated my caching plugin, but am unfortunately getting the same results.

You do not not have to completely disable your caching, just the page with Form on it, exclude the URL.
Did you give the user role the edit moderated capability on the Connections : Roles admin page?

ParticipantHi Steven,
I just disabled cacheing for testing purposes.
Yes, the user has the “edit moderated” capability box ticked.

Ok, then. I’ll need an admin login so I can take a closer look. The login details can be posted here as a private reply.

Ok, I installed the User Switching plugin so I could debug on your site…
I made a slight tweak to Connections (actually undid a change added to improve SEO). Can you confirm that it works correctly for you too?
It is does, then I’ll need to make a tweak to Form/Link and release updates to them so they’ll be compatible with the change in Connections. I plan on tackling this change tomorrow to test on you site.

ParticipantHi Steven,
I’m not getting the 404s anymore or the Token mismatch error, so that’s great.
However, if I add an entry then submit the form, when the page refreshes, I get an “Add directory” link on the menu rather than an “Edit directory link”. I was able to add multiple entries this way, which isn’t ideal! The correct link appears on other pages however, and on the form page when I log back in. The caching plugin isn’t enabled, so it’s not that.

re: if I add an entry then submit the form, when the page refreshes, I get an “Add directory” link on the menu rather than an “Edit directory link”. I was able to add multiple entries this way, which isn’t ideal!
This was a configuration setting… you had enabled the link to display. Some users what users both to maintain a specific entry and the ability to add new entries so this is an option that can enabled/disabled. I turned it off in the settings for you.
The tweak I made would not change the token mismatch error. I disable the logic that would throw the 404. So, I still suspect the token mismatch was due to the caching.
The 404 logic does highlight two bugs in the code that were not apparent before. I’m tackling these right now and will make the fixes on you site so you can verify that it works.
I’ll reply back after I have these two bugs fixed. I expect to have them addressed in the next few hours.

Ok, give it another once over, I believe I have fully corrected the bugs.
