ParticipantHi,
I just purchased the entire kit and kaboodle, as I know of several projects on which Connections and some of its add-ons will be helpful.
Couple of questions:
1. On my current project (http://www.homeopathyschool.dreamhosters.com/homeopathy-resources/certified-homeopaths-find-a-homeopath/), I just installed Tile Plus and set the shortcode on the page in the html editor as follows: [connections show_image=FALSE show_address=TRUE].
The photo block is gone but the address is still NOT showing up. I checked in a different browser, in case it was a cache issue, but, nope, it’s not showing up.
2. I want to use Connections on a different page, for a different directory, using a different template. How do I go about doing this?

- The correct shortcode to show addresses would be:
[connections show_image='FALSE' show_addresses='TRUE']
When editing shortcode, it best to switch the post editor to the Text tab first; especially if copying from a webpage. When updating the shortcode I recommend doing this and making sure there are no HTML tags mixed in the shortcode from a copy/paste.
Since you are removing the image I recommend adding the following to the end of the theme’s
style.cssfile:#cn-tile-plus .cn-entry div { width: auto !important; }That’ll improve the layout a bit.
You might also want to read this FAQ on adjusting the tile size.
- Take a look at this FAQ for cMap. It’ll work just the same for any of the templates that have a category drop down.
To use a different template you just need to use the template shortcode override option. The slug to be used for the template shortcode override can be found on the Connections : Templates admin page.
I hope that helps.

ParticipantThanks, for all of the info, I got the pagination adjusted, the tile size adjusted, everything’s great now.
I tried the cMap template but couldn’t get the logo to turn off and didn’t really want the map. This template at the narrower size works well as they float next to each other.
Still feeling my way through this but I’m getting the hang of it. Liking it too. This will be easy for my client to edit and add to and that’s the point.

Looks great!
If you have a moment, I would truly appreciate a review as they really do make a difference. Many thanks in advance!
