ParticipantI recently purchased Tile Plus and installed it. I liked the ease of use of Connections, but needed more of a Tile look. All is well when I use any of the generic templates, but when I switch to the Tile Plus template, the images won’t load…I get the “working on it circle of death.” Unfortunately this is an Intranet (currenlty being setup on my local computer), so I cannot send you a link, but I can send you any file you need to take a look. I did notice that when using the generic template, the imageis being loaded from….http://localhost/wordpress/wp-content/connection_images, but when I change to the Tile Plus template, the image is trying to load from http://localhost/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/connections/includes/libraries/timthumb/timthumb.php?src=http://localhost/wordpress/wp-content/connection_images

The issue will be either permission related or the document root can not be found. You should receive a error message by directly going to the URL that Tile Pls is trying to load. For example:
What is the error message?

What happens when you strip off the http://localhost bit, like this:

I’m fairly certain the issue is a permissions issue on your local install. One which I don’t think I’ll can help with. I also think when moving you local to the intranet, the issue will resolve. I do have a plan b which will work.
Go to the Connections : Settings admin page and change the Medium Image size under the Images tab to the size you need them to be. The default for Tile Plus is 100w x 130h px.
Now, update you shortcode on the page where you inserted the Connections shortcode to include the
image_width
andimage_height
options. You should end up with something like this:
[connections image_width=0 image_height=0]
This will force Tile Plus to use the pre-cached images instead of them being created dynamically.
The downside it any images that you’ve already uploaded will have to be re-upload for the changed image size to take affect.
Let me know if that resolves it for you.
