you may remember you did some customization work for me on the submit form, on a development site.
I have finally transferred the site over to live (though currently hiding behind an under construction page until client approves final version).
I came across the issue of the submitted images not transferring over, when using All In One WP Migration – resolved this by individually uploading new images myself in the Connections-Manage Dashboard.
My current queries:
- In manage dashboard, when looking at the alphabetical list of submissions, I cannot see the thumbnail of the submitted. – This would be really helpful to quickly know who has or has not submitted an image, without having to open that individual submisison and then check the image there.
Is is possible to fix this?
- My live directory, using cMaps looks as I want it, and I have done customization of some colours etc..
However, when I open an individual submission on the directory by clicking on organisation name, I do not see the submitted image any more.
(I DO however, while in Customizer).
Can you advise?

If All In One WP Migration attempting to update IMG URLs in the database tables, it is possible it incorrectly corrected them. In a more recent update, I did change the URL to be a relative URL which should not be “autocorrected” by migration plugins. This change however will only effect newly uploaded images, it does not go back and change the previously saved URLs. In cases of site migration, Connections gracefully handles the changed URL. Any way hopefully this change helps others.

Which image is being submitted? The photo image is displayed on the admin Manage page. However, the logo is not. I have been receiving a few requests for displaying the logo as an option. So, I probably add this as a screen option in a future update.

OK, thank you. I did the migration first, then upgraded. Sounds like I should have done other way around.

The photo is being submitted. I can see it, which I click into an indiviidual submission to edit it. But I cannot see a thumbnail in the alphabetical list of all submissions.

Thank you, that worked nicely.
However, I notice I have an issue on both individual submission page and in the directory list (expandable map), that the google map does not show.
The expandable one was working, but now no blank.
On individual page, it shows for a second then disappears.I will search through you forum for that to see if I can find a solution.

Can you attach a screenshot showing the admin page and editing an entry? You can attach images when you login to the support forum.

Have you setup you Google Maps API key?
I seen themes that apply styles to images globally that mess up the display of the map tiles. Usually it is along the line of setting the image size to max width. So it could be this. If you can share a link to a page with the trouble, I can take a look.

One more question – sorry:
The client has asked me to filter the listing by the organizations ‘contact’ last_name, and not by the organization name.
I am trying to figure out the connections shortcode to enable me to do this, which I thought was: [connections order_by='last_name']
However, I suspect now that it may not be possible, as all the entries are set as ‘company name’ when they were submitted, and not as ‘individual’.
This may also be because of the way we customized the submit form?
Can you please advise if it’s possible, and the shortcode?

Looking at the screenshots… it does appear that the images are being uploaded to the logo field (which has been renamed to “Add Profile photo here…”)
The logo image is not displayed on the manage admin page, only the photo image is.
Unfortunately it is not possible to sort on the Contact last name. I can not really think of any workaround of the top of my head either, sorry.

I have found a workaround for this, I can go in and edit all the existing submissions that are already live, and change their ‘Publish Status’ from ‘Company Name’ to ‘Individual’. That would sort out the directory by the individuals last name.
For new submissions going forward, In FORM SETTINGS, I can also change the default entry type to ‘Individual’, so that new submissions will be added correctly as individuals, not organizations.
However, if I do the above, there are several fieldsets that display in the submission for, that I would like not to be there.
For individuals name, I have Prefix, First Name, Middle name, Last name, Suffix.
I only want First Name & Last Name as options for user to submit.To get rid of the others, I have tried altering settings in: Field Configuration -> Name Fieldset -> Individual Name Fields, and unchecking Prefix, Middle Name, Suffux.
However, this doesn’t change anything on my submit form.
Q1: Is there a setting I am missing to get rid of these fields on submit form?
Q2: If not, is this anything to do with previous customisation we did? And if so, can you do a paid custom fix?

But this is not the case, when moderating, still cannot see if a user has submitted an image (whether it is logo or photo). The only way for admin to see if there is a picture (and therefore know if they can approve the submission), is to go in and EDIT the submission.
Images will not showQ3: Again, is there a fix to this, or is it due to how we set up customisation?
Q4: Can I pay you to do make this work?Thanks for an excellent product, and sorry for so many questions. I need to hand the admin over to client and get everything working as simply as possible.

That is correct. Looks Like I missed adding that to the documentation. I’ll correct that today. Presently the Name Fieldset configurations option will not affect Form as Form has a “custom” name fieldset. My hope is that I can simply update Form to respect those settings but I have not got there yet. I can try to get this done by the end of the month.

I can not recall offhand what method I used to remove the “Department” field from Form. But, I suspect when I update Form to respect the Fieldset Configuration options. I’d have to login to your site and review my changes. I suspect it could be as simple as deactivating a code snippet which will allow the settings to be applied.

Sorry, no, it does not work that way. The Logo field is still the logo field and the photo field is still the photo field regardless of the entry type.

Well, it is not broken so it can not be fixed. No, the customization would not have broken this. Actually since the beginning the admin manage only has displayed the photo, never the logo.

Adding the option of which image to display is on my todo list. My plan is to add it to the Screen Options tab found in the upper right corner on the Manage admin page. That would make the setting available, but per user (not global). Would that be satisfactory? It it would I can push out an update by end of next week with that option.
