Your trick worked of going to Settings > Advanced and checking Themes. However I can’t get the “bio” section looking good – any ideas?

Edit the page where you inserted the Connections shortcode, switch the editor to the Text tab, remove the code and/or pre tags from around the [connections] shortcode. That should fix it up.

You were right – I was trying to make the labels appear a bit better vs having Work Phone – just Phone and Work Email just Email.

I was using this shortcode I found that someone mentioned: [connections str_work_phone='Phone' str_work_email='Email']

And it threw off my entire formating – now it rocks.

So can I go into the coding and switch out the “titles” of the fields or when you have a connections update – will it replace what I want – so customization would be lost?

The issue is that when you copy past from a website, any website, and paste it into the post edit while in the Visual tab, the formatting will also be pasted.

You an use that shortcode you found, just manually type it in rather than copy/pasting.

Instead of editing the code to change the titles of fields, use the Say What? plugin. Just enter the text you want to change, exactly, the text domain which would be connections and your new text. It easy, upgrade safe and can be used on any plugin that has been properly internationalized.

I added the Say What? plugin.

I went to Tools > Text changes

I added in Original string as Biography
and Domain as connections
and Replacement string as Business Information

am I missing something? It’s not changing yet…

Ok, I see, I thought you meant the fields in the admin and not the text that can be changed via the template options. Take a look at this FAQ.
