ParticipantHello,
When I activate my Connections Plug-in the content of my FAQs page is blank. I have systematically deactivated all plugins and have isolated it to the Connections plugin. After working with tech support at Template Monster, where I purchased the template, they say that it may be a script conflict with Connections. The site was fully functional until this plug-in conflict. The forums do not directly address my issue.
Can you please give me some guidance with this problem? The page were the error occurs is http://b-seatednow.com/?page_id=12. I can provide you access to my WP admin if needed.
Thanks

I sorry you might feel this is going to be a runaround… but I’m nearly certain this is actually a documented bug in themes based on the CherryFramework. This framework is what TemplateMonster base their themes on.
This can be found on the FAQ/s page. Here’s the direct link to the FAQ:
http://connections-pro.com/faqs/cherryframework-based-themes/The short answer is that TemplateMonster is going to have to update their theme to include the latest version of the CherryFramework which has this bug fixed.
I hope this helps!

ParticipantThank you for your reply. I contacted Template Monster and they recommended that I update my Cherry Framework as you suggested. I completed this successfully but the problem was not resolved. The FAQs page still does not show. I am not sure where to go from here. Any other suggestions?

ParticipantShould I just make the code changes to the two files via Admin -Appearances – Editor in loop/loop-faq.php and loop/loop-testi.php similar to the edits shown on GitHut?

re: I update my Cherry Framework as you suggested. I completed this successfully but the problem was not resolved.
Well, that depends if the update that you have contains the fix or not. It is very possible it does not. You would have to look at theloop/loop-faq.php
andloop/loop-testi.php
files in the updated framework to see if it contains the changes shown on Github.re: Should I just make the code changes to the two files via Admin -Appearances – Editor in loop/loop-faq.php and loop/loop-testi.php similar to the edits shown on GitHut?
Rather than trying to manually make the edits, I would suggest just downloading both files from Github and replace the old versions on your site. Do the by clicking theView
button for each file and then clicking theRaw
button for each file. Select all the code in both of the “raw” views and paste them into new files with the same name as the old files. Upload the new files overwriting the old files. If Template Monster sold you the theme, they should be able to provide with the the exact updated files that you need.
Hope that helps!

ParticipantI am still working with Template Monster to see if they can help me resolve this. Additionally, I will try your suggestion of replacing the new version with the old. I hope this resolves the issue. I let you know. Thanks.

typo? “* replacing the new version with the old*”. You mean replace the old with the new, right?

ParticipantYes, typo – brain freeze. Sorry.

ParticipantI checked the two files as you suggested and the new version from GitHub is now loaded in my CherryFramework. So basically I do have the Dec 2014 fix. Temple Monster did provide the most up to date version. What do you think is still causing the problem with Connections and my FAQs page?

Well, at this point … it could be something new with the framework that I’m not’ aware of… I’ll need a temp admin account so I can debug further. The login details can be sent using the contact link at the bottom of the page. Please paste a link to this forum thread so I can relate the two. Thanks!
