ParticipantHi Steven,
I’ve been trying to post support request for the last few days but they aren’t showing up and I don’t know what to do. We’ve purchased several extensions and templates and I have some questions I need to get resolved.
Thanks,

re: I’ve been trying to post support request for the last few days but they aren’t showing up
Well, that’s odd, because I get a dozen or so a day. I checked the spam folder, they are not there. Did you get an error or anything? If the post fails, bbpress does display a try again message.

Ask away.

ParticipantHi Steven,
Its happening again. Questions I’m posting aren’t appearing in the Forums. Am I doing something wrong? I login first. Latest question has to do with Tile Plus template not looking correct on Mac/Safari.02/09/2016 at 1:11 pm #364185Steven Zahm

The only thing I can think of is that they are being marked as spam… but I checked those flagged as spam just now. I do not see any legitimate topics or replies from you or anyone else. I even check the actual WordPress posts db table where topics/replies are saved, nothing.
I post very frequently, many times throughout the day, and I have never had a post disappear. I’m not saying it is not happening to you… just that I honestly do not know what else I can check. The only issue I experience is that sometimes I do not receive the email notification of a new reply or new support topic, but I’m pretty certain that is a failure of Mandrill (email host) rather than bbPress (support forum).
Latest question has to do with Tile Plus template not looking correct on Mac/Safari.
Which forum did you post the question in? The General support or the forum for Tile Plus?
Can you attach a screenshot of the issue? Can you share a link to the page with the issue?

ParticipantI’ll change the email address and see if that has any affect. In this free forum the posts show up but not the premium forums
I posted in Tiles Plus…

Thanks for the screenshot and link. I’ll fire up the old Mac mini and take a look. But my initial feeling is that it’ll look fine for me… because it looks like the CSS hasn’t been loaded. Connections does load or not load its CSS based on OS or browser, it simply lets WordPress handle it.

Ok, I took a look…. this is not a Connections issue as the whole site is affected in Safari on OSX. Chrome, it looks just fine. Open the Developer Tools in Safari, look at the CSS errors in the Console. Safari does not like the minified CSS file being created by… well, whatever you are using to minify and concatenate the CSS files in WordPress. My suggestion is to disable it since it is breaking the site.

ParticipantThanks Steven,
I’m not aware of what is being used for the minified CSSS besides what is being used by the browser or the theme. I don’t have issues with any other PC browser except Safari. This also seems to be the case on Mac. I can look at the site in an older version of Safari on Vista and see the issue affecting the entire site. I have contacted the theme support to see if they can help this.I will pass this on and hope to get it resolved.
Changed email on account to see if that will clear up posting issues.

Looking at the page source, the CSS and JS on the site is being minified and concatenated. My best guess this is being done by Themify based on the file names.
Their doc page is not clear, but maybe disabling this will help:
https://themify.me/docs/builder#builder-cache
NOTE: Minifying and concatenating CSS and JS is a good thing but it can be problematic in a WP installs because of scripts from plugins all of widely varying quality and can break things in unexpected ways.
Seeing as this only affects Safari, it seems it is less forgiving on parsing errors.
