ParticipantI have installed Connections on a WordPress site with the theme Stereoclub.
The theme loads different images in the body background. Unfortunately, after installing the Connections plugin several things on the front-page do not work. The images are no longer loaded, and it looks like all javascript in general is stripped.
The strange thing is that everything works on all other pages than the front-page.
I have tried different combinations of the plugin’s setting (javascript in the header instead of the footer, jquery fix and so on). Nothing helps.
Please help!

As counter-intuitive as this may seem… it sounds like there is a fatal javascript on the page, likely being caused by another plugin or more like the theme in this case which only came to light when using Connections on this page.
To view these errors, load the page in Chrome, hit the F12 key and then click the Console tab.
Here will be listed all the errors on the page. Hover over the file name on the far right to see the path of the file causing the error. Most often the source of the error can be determined by the filename and file path.
If it is revealed that a script is the source of the error, then in most cases it is because a plugin or theme is improperly loading jQuery.
That’s the best guesses I have. You would have to share a link to the page with the issue for me to give you any more precise advice.
Hope that helps!

GuestThe latter error (denying load of chrome-extension…) is also present when the Connections plugin is deactivated….
I can give you the adresss of the website if needed in a PM. Let me know if you a window to work on this problem, and I will activate the plugin again. My guess is that we are in different timezones (Denmark here…)

Guest<h2>If I look in Safari, I see this:</h2>
[Error] TypeError: undefined is not a function (evaluating
'jQuery("a[rel^='prettyPhoto']").prettyPhoto({ theme: 'light_square', })') (anonymous function) (base.js, line 4) j (jquery.js, line 2) fireWith (jquery.js, line 2) ready (jquery.js, line 2) J (jquery.js, line 2)
So, it does look like it’s a jquery conflict, right? But how to resolve?

Best guess is that this is being loaded by the theme which could make it extremely difficult to work around.
The website link and login details can be sent via the contact form at the bottom of the page. In the message, please past a link to this forum thread so I can relate the two. Thanks!
