ParticipantHello! I was wondering if there’s a way to create various sub-directories by regions? I would like to have various web pages that are focused on a particular region of directory entries, so that the directory automatically filters for that region (by state). Is there a shortcode to filter the directory entries by region? If not, do you have any recommendations to help me accomplish this?
Thank you in advance for your help!

In short, yep. Take a look at the filters shortcode option.
You can also do something like this with URL/s:
my-site.com/directory-home-page/region/MNOn the Connections : Settings admin page under the Advanced tab you can change “region” to “state” so it is more clear in the URL what you’re linking to.

ParticipantI find out I can now have multiple regions in a state. I’ve reviewed the database fields as I would like to not have to customize the plugin to do what I want to do. I’m thinking of using Address line 3 to distinguish the region and then filter on the region in that manner: (address contains “my region name”) to filter those entries within that particular region.
I’m really looking for your thoughts on if this is the best way to go about this, and to make sure I’m not overlooking a feature already within the Connections plugin. I’m thinking I may need to develop a custom filter. Any help/guidance you have would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

I suggest using categories for regions. Many other have and it’s worked out well for them.
