ParticipantI currently have a custom sort order, and when I do a search via categories
/connections/cat/category name/It appears to display in the correct order
But when I do a search via country
/connections/country/United+Kingdom/ for exampleIt doesn’t appear in the custom order.
I think search by post code works, but search by locality doesn’t.
Have I missed an option somewhere?

Could you please share a link to your directory so I can take a closer look? Also, what is the exact shortcode you’re using? Thanks.

It looks like you’re using the Connections shortcode on a couple pages, right?
Try putting your custom sort order, order_by shortcode option, in the Connections shortcode on the
/connections/page.07/11/2013 at 4:38 am #264672Richard Buckler

ParticipantOk think I have a work around, if I use numbers instead eg 1 represents United Kingdom, it works. Most odd.

I’ve taking a look at the various pages, all do seem to be sorting correctly.
The UK page, the first 21 pages do not have have a postal code or locality to sort by leaving the final sort of
organizationwhich would be alphabetical. Since the postal code and locality are empty those entries will come before those on the 22nd page which do have a postal code and locality.Hope that helps.
