ParticipantI am using connections to set up a dealer network for a manufacturer. Here is an example:
http://hobart-design.com/marco/dealers/listings/cat/missouri/I have set up a category for every state. There are also ONLINE dealers that they want listed under every state. However, they would like the regular dealers to show first, Then a Header that says “Internet & Catalog Dealers” then list the internet dealers. How could I go about implementing this change?

Not sure if this will work… The only thing I can think doing is put the Connections shortcode on the page twice like so:
Brick and Mortar Dealers
[connections]Internet & Catalog Dealers
[connections category_in=X]X would be the category for the Internet & Catalog dealers.
Give it a try an let me know if it works out.

ParticipantThanks for the help. I have purchased Slim Plus template and installed and trying to finalize layout. So, here is what I am trying to accomplish:
http://marcogroupinc.com/dealers/
If you click on a state, it takes you to the state listings, where I want Full Service Dealers to show first (which I created a category for each state), then catalog for catalog dealers. However, when I call category specific pages (a state category) from clicking on the map, it shows both the shortcode results to be the state full service dealers and not state, then catalog dealers. If you look at just the standard listings page: http://marcogroupinc.com/dealers/listings it is ok. Any clues On how I can accomplish this?
Also, on the catalog dealers I don’t really care for the search and category select to show. I have created this shortcode but does not seem to get rid of them:
[connections category_in='52' enable_category_select=FALSE enable_search=FALSE]Thanks for your help.

If I understand…
I think you need to use this shortcode instead:
[connections category='52' enable_category_select=FALSE enable_search=FALSE]That way, when you click the map, it will override the shortcode
categoryoption the same way as when you make a category selection from the listings page.As for why the other option do not work, try editing the page with the shortcode, click the Text tab, and make sure there is no HTML tags around the options. If there are, the were inserted by copy/pasting the options from the website while in the Visual tab.
Hope that helps. Let me know.

ParticipantThat took out the category select and search bar for the catalog and internet dealers, which is great.
When I click on the map to select a state, let’s use TEXAS, for instance. I have 2 listings for full service catalog stores and then there should be 4 listings for Internet/catalog. No matter what I select it is only showing one listing for each.
Here are the codes I am using for the listings pages (this is the only thing I have on the listings pages):
Full Service Dealers
[connections]
Catalog & Internet Dealers
[connections category='52' enable_category_select=FALSE enable_search=FALSE]I can provide login credentials privately if you need to look at my structure.
I appreciate your help. This is the very last piece of the puzzle on this site we have been working on for months. Thank you for the help.

Ok, figured it out. There was a bug with the template and I also added the
lockoption to the second shortcode to prevent category selection from affecting it.One this to note, you should probably remove the category selection from the other instance too because you’re already within a category after clicking a state so change it will have no affect of the results. I thing the only option is you want it to work is to redo the links in the image map. For example change Tesas from
http://marcogroupinc.com/dealers/listings/cat/texas/tohttp://marcogroupinc.com/dealers/listings/?cn-s=&cn-cat=44then the category select should work normally.Hope that helps.
