ParticipantI’m in the process of developing an employee directory on our intranet.
I like the functionality of Connections, and think the “Slim” or “Slim plus” would be a great option to for our employees as the default directory.
There are several questions I have about the templates and extensions addons before i purchase:
1. Is there a way to display an extension phone number (displaying the ext only) next to the Name in that template? So that the user would automatically see the Extension with their name…(also what is the best way to add a field for an phone extension?)
2. Does the SlimPlus.css have @print settings loaded? or is this something i will have to customize?
3. I’ve downloaded the free connections and do not see the .css in the plugins editor… is this only editable via ftp? Does the purchased templates allow edits to the css (with out having to re-edit upon upgrade/updates?)

Apologies for the late reply! It seems I’ve been overlooking a few email notices for a few support topics.
1. This one is tricky. Honestly, probably the easiest thing to do would be to enter the extension in the suffix field in their name.
2. No, there are no print CSS files being loaded. That is something you would have create.
3. The CSS is editable with the Plugin Editor, however, since it is in a subfolder, it may not show up. Personally, I use the WP Editor plugin to replace the plugin and theme editors. It is much easier to work with, so I recommend giving it a try.
As for editing the CSS file for templates … those would be overwritten during an update. I suggest adding any custom CSS to the theme’s custom css area if it has one. The My Custom CSS plugin is a great little tool. You might want to give it a try.
I hope that helps!
