I have the Slim Plus directory plugin working great. User has asked whether they can display other images of differing aspect ratios. Is that possible?

The user is uploading family images instead of a single person image. As such, the photos are getting cropped to fit the current aspect ratio.

Please advise. Thank you.

You’ll have to mod the template ‘card.php` file to changing the cropping method.

Change this:

$entry->getImage( array(
        'image'    => $atts['image'],
        'height'   => 120,
        'width'    => 100,
        'fallback' => array(
                'type'     => $atts['image_fallback'],
                'string'   => $atts['str_image']
                )
        )
);

To this:

$entry->getImage( array(
        'image'    => $atts['image'],
        'height'   => 120,
        'width'    => 100,
        'zc'       => 1,
        'fallback' => array(
                'type'     => $atts['image_fallback'],
                'string'   => $atts['str_image']
                )
        )
);

Here are the valid values; 1 is the default method:
0 Resize to Fit specified dimensions (no cropping)
1 Crop and resize to best fit the dimensions (default behaviour)
2 Resize proportionally to fit entire image into specified dimensions, and add borders if required
3 Resize proportionally adjusting size of scaled image so there are no borders gaps
