ParticipantHello,
I am using the connections directory with the default card, I have both a full directory list and pages that use shortcodes to list out entries that fall within specific categories.
The full member list works fine, however on the pages where the lists are build based on shortcode, if I click on the listing to go to Single View, the member info is displaying multiple times (I think based on the number of categories the member was added to).
I can provide links to view examples, but as this is a development site I would prefer to do so via IM or private message somehow.
Thanks for the help!

For a configuration link this, you will need a two page setup. Here’s a link to a post where I give another the step by steps directions:
The issues are different, but the instructions still apply.
Hope this helps!

ParticipantThank you for the info this has corrected the issue, however I do have another related question. At the top of the single view is a link to return to the directory, it seems this is locked into sending them back to the default list, is there anyway to get them back to the other page generated via the short code?

On the new page you put the
home_id
of the original page so it links back to that page.Hope that helps!

ParticipantOk, I see, thank you again!
So in order for this to work with multiple segmented category pages I have to create a single view page for each category page is that correct?Is there no way to dynamically pass the page id from the first page to the second to be used in the short code?

Oh, so you are using multiple pages, with the shortcode embedded multiple times on each page separated by category? Is that correct?
The setup sounds like these sites:
- https://www.visitwollombi.com.au/ -> Stay/Explore/Weddings
- https://www.aroundhermitage.com.au/ -> Taste/Play/Stay
They use this addon:
https://github.com/Connections-Business-Directory/Entry-Homepage
Each entry is assigned a specific “home page”. The back link will resolve to the page that was set.
Hope this helps!

ParticipantSimilar but not quite the same. Our members are cross listed by community and business type, so if they want to view all business in a specific community (ie all the business in the town of Dodgeville) they can or they can see all of a specific type of business they (ie all the Wineries in the area).
It looks like this plugin lets you set one specific home page for each entry, which we could use but if we set the home page based on the community and they browsed by business type that could be confusing.

Then maybe your only option is to disable the back to directory link since there is no canonical home for a specific entry.
